Q: What makes this cruise different from
any other cruise?

The host travel agency (Blue World
Travel) is African-American owned. The
cruise entertainment and activities are
targeted specifically to
African-Americans. There are
approximately 3000 African-American's
that attend the cruise each year.
Q: Who sponsors the Festival At Sea
cruise and how long has this event been
in existence?
A:
This will be Blue World Travel's 19th
year sponsoring the cruise.
Q: How much does the cruise cost?
A:
The cost of the cruise depends on the
cabin type (interior, window, balcony,
etc) and on which deck the cabin is
located. Cabin prices range from $1199 -
$3199 per person. Room rates are based
on double occupancy.
Q: Do my roommate and I have to book at
the same time?
A:
If you are booking a cabin with a
balcony, you and your roommate have to
book together (same day).
A2: If you are booking a cabin with a
window or an interior cabin, you and
your roommate must book within 7-10 days
of each other.
Q: What are my options if I don't have a
roommate?
A:
Blue World Travel will match you with a
roommate. If you don't want Blue World
Travel to match you with a roommate, you
can pay for two people and find your own
roommate.
Q: Should I purchase Trip Insurance and
how much is it?
A:
We suggest obtaining trip insurance,
just in case a situation arises where
you are unable to attend and you will
receive a full refund. Trip insurance
costs $80-$150 per person.
Q: What is included in the cost of the
cruise?
A: The cost includes: lodging, food &
all on-ship activities.
Q: What is NOT included in the cost of
the cruise?
A:
Airfare, alcoholic beverages, hotel
expenses for pre-cruise party, ground
transportation, off-ship activities
(water sports, island tours, etc) are
not included.
Q: Is there a deposit/payment plan for
the cruise?
A: There is a $250 discount for persons
that pay the $250 deposit
by 10/31/09. Minimum monthly
installments are $250. The final balance
is due by May 1, 2010.
Q: Does the travel agency offer
"auto-pay" or are payments made
manually?
A:
Auto-pay is offered and charges are
processed on the 1st, 8th, 15th or 22nd
of each month. Manual payments are due
based on the date identified on the
monthly invoice.
Q: Where and when does the cruise
debark?
A:
Sunday August 9th from Miami, Florida,
returning Sunday August 16th.
Q: Are there any pre-cruise activities?
A:
Yes, July 30th and 31st guests will be
staying at the Marriott Biscayne Bay
Hotel & Marina for the pre-party.

at Sea Terms and Conditions:
Some cabins may be sold out at
time of booking. If both of your
choices are unavailable, you
will be notified of an
alternative by email prior to
your deposit being charged.
3rd and 4th persons sharing with
two full paying adults are $1199
per person adult, and $899 per
person child (0-17). Single
occupancy is 200% of the per
person price, plus $252 in
taxes, fees and gratuities.
Prices are per person and
include port charges. Airfare is
not included.
Gratuities of $75 per person and
government taxes and fees of
$102 per person are additional.
No tipping is required at the
end of your cruise.
Carnival reserves the right to
effect a fuel surcharge if a
rise in the market price of oil
necessitates a supplement. There
is no fuel surcharge currently
in place.
Taxes, fuel surcharges, port
charges and all fees are subject
to change.
Festival at Sea welcomes persons
under the age of 21 in their own
cabins provided they have a
responsible adult guardian age
25 or older booked on the same
deck.
Please remember that you must
keep your monthly payments
current to avoid forfeiting the
early booking discount. Inquire
about insurance to protect your
vacation investment.
Payment: A
non-refundable deposit of
$250 per person ($500 per
person for suites) is due at
time of booking. Additional
payments are $250 per person
per month ($500 per person
for suites) until paid in
full. If upon maintaining
your monthly schedule you
are not paid in full by May
1st 2010, your final balance
will be due at that time.
You must make minimum
monthly payments of $250 per
person ($500 per person for
suites).
All payments made to Blue World
Travel are non-refundable.
Reminder:
Your cabin-mates deposit is due
within 7 days of booking, except
for balconies and suites, which
require that both deposits must
be received in order to reserve
a cabin. If you do not have a
cabin-mate you may be matched
with another person of the same
sex, unless you opt to make
deposits for two until you are
able to secure your own
cabin-mate. Name change fees
begin at $50 per change. Fees
are subject to revision.
Important:
Currently, only proof of
citizenship and a government
issued photo ID is required to
cruise to the ports on our
schedule. However, passports are
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED to take this
cruise, due to the nature of the
itinerary.
Without a
passport, you will not be
permitted to fly into or depart
any of the islands by air if
necessary, even in case of an
